Looking at the calendar, I can't believe it's getting towards the end of July already. This summer I took full advantage of my break from school. I spent most of June in Tokyo, Japan with a school group from LASA. It was amazing, and I am so happy that our Japanese teacher took us.
Most of July has been spent in Pennsylvania, where I officiated my brother's wedding ceremony and caught up with friends and relatives. This past weekend, I drove to Detroit for the Crash Detroit music festival, where I performed with Environmental Encroachment, a brass band based in Chicago and very good friends of mine. Now, I'm at Juniata College where I'm helping to host an academic conference on Transhumanism next week. After that, I'll finally get to go home to Austin to spend time with my friends and start prepping for the upcoming school year.
With all this travelling, it's been impossible to keep up with blogging. But I hope that in the next few weeks I'll have time to sit down and more thoroughly document my adventures this summer. Not to mention, I need to start working on new changes for my curriculum. The first day of school will be here before I know it!
